Secondary School Calendar 2025

On 26th November, the Ministry of Education and Sports officially unveiled the insightful 2025 school calendar, shedding light on key academic commencements. Of particular interest is the secondary school sector, with the announcement that S1 pupils are scheduled to rejoin classes on 10th February 2025.

Moreover, the Ministry specified that S4 candidates who wrapped up their UCE exams in 2024 are slated to embark on the next level, S5, on 24th February 2025.

Dr. Kendrace Turyagyenda, the revered Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, didn't hesitate to issue a crucial caution to schools, especially those in the bustling Kampala Metropolitan area, urging them to stagger the return of different classes. This strategic advice is designed to alleviate the anticipated traffic congestion on the roads leading in and out of Kampala, ensuring a smoother academic commencement.
